The Penguin Advisory Council (PAC) meets monthly to advance individual and collective goals for artistic development, activism and advocacy, and social connection and cohesion.
PAC members are on the front lines engaging in discussion and action to move Penguin towards being a more anti-racist organization. PAC members propose plays and workshop content, and are a conduit between the Penguin and the community as ambassadors and bridge-builders.
What you'll do:
drive Penguin programming
explore intersections of theater and social justice
read and share plays, literature, articles, and resources
meet with guest artists and community leaders
support one another and have fun
The PAC meets on the second Sunday of the month (starting January 10th, 2021) from 4:30-6pm. PAC members are also expected to put in an additional 1-2 hours/month pursuing individual projects or helping to plan and lead a workshop. The PAC attends Penguin performances (1-2/quarter), and at least 3 out of 6 PAC-planned workshops. PAC members are offered a choice between service learning hours or a stipend of $200 (total for 6 months). You can miss up to 3 commitments (though stipend will be reduced). Applications open until December 15th
