Sunday, October 25th @ 7pm

Brand-new stories both comic and poignant, spun into a moment in which many of us are both stuck in space yet emotionally adrift, having lost a sense of direction and seeking paths forward.

Finding Trails is an ongoing series commissioning new works of theater bringing artists and audiences together to ask - as access to the outdoors becomes simultaneously more vital and more threatened, how can we uplift our collective need for public lands and spaces?

The Ocean by Olivia Sterne, directed by Kiefer Harrington
a solo performance artist attempts to capture oceanic majesty on zoom, only to be thwarted by the presence of a friendly roommate

The Cuckoo Clock by Julieta Vitullo, directed by Rebecca Collinsworth
a 17th century inventor in the Black Forest is challenged by his creation to let go of time

The Map Lies Folded in Your Pants Pocket
by Pamela Hobart Carter, directed by Kathy Hsieh
a woman finds herself lost at the edge of a river

I’m Sorry about the Raw Eggs I Hid in your Apartment (and the time I trimmed your hair) by Anuhea Brown, directed by Agastya Kohli
a couple searches for the special place they first fell in love

Meet the Playwrights!

Pamela Hobart Carter | For thirty years Pamela Hobart Carter taught science, preschool, and a few other things. Now she teaches on the side, and writes plays, poems, fiction, and non-fiction. Her plays have been read or produced in Seattle (her home), Montreal (her childhood home), Fort Worth (where she has only visited), and in the ether of Zoom. She loves living by mountains and water.
Olivia Sterne | Olivia is a recent graduate of Western Washington University, where she studied both acting and playwriting. Her most recent credits include acting roles in Henry V at WWU and devising and performing with the #Heretoo WWU ensemble. She is grateful and honored to be a part of this project and hopes that you enjoy the show!
Anuhea Brown (aw-new-hay-uh) SHE/HER THEY/THEM | Anuhea Brown is an emerging actor, playwright, and activist. Her original work focuses on creating stories for marginalized communities and experiences. Anuhea Brown is a proud Hawaiian Portuguese Filipino woman who hopes to decolonize theatre; creating a theatrical space that is fearless, daring, and inclusive. She is currently earning her MFA in Dramatic Writing at New York University.
Julieta Vitullo | Julieta is a bilingual writer, playwright and dramaturge born and raised in Argentina. She has an MA in English and a PhD in Spanish from Rutgers.
